Recommended Album: Madvillain – Madvillainy
Rap/Hip-Hop: The first collaboration between Madlib and MF DOOM. The lyrics are strong and more lighthearted than most. Fantastic beats, short songs and few choruses. The album is fast paced so nothing feels like it drags on for too long.

Experimental rap group Gorillaz are streaming their first album in five years a week before it's released. Glitch pop / Indie / Rap about pollution, or something.
The album boasts an even greater number of guests artists than we've previously seen, including: Snoop Dogg, Bobby Womack, Lou Reed, Mos Def, Gruff Rhys (of Super Furry Animals), Little Dragon, and The Lebanese National Orchestra for Oriental Arabic Music.
